We were out for a boat ride when we discovered this very shallow area on our lake. It was on the east side relative to the general movement of the water. The movement of the water created an area where beach sand collected and all sorts of natural lake debris. It was beautiful.
One of the objects floating in the water was a felled tree. On the tree, nature was doing its thing. There was a new tree growing on the floating log. New life was taking a stab at growth.
It made me ponder. Nature has goals too. Probably, it’s only goal being to procreate. The goal that nature sets for itself also has a measure. “Did it create new life?"
Stephen Covey in his book, The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, says, “always begin with the end in mind.” Nature does this and so should you. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
