I was pondering about how ideas get to market. I have written some articles in the past about what I was thinking, only to see them plagiarized by another writer. I look on this now and realize it was my fault. I didn’t protect my work. That is in my control. The morality of others is not.

Coincidentally, and perhaps timely, I was given a book written by Kary Oberbrunner and Katherine Obrino entitled “You are an IP Company.” It suggests a 12-step process for protecting your work and is a great primer. I am doing an inventory of my ideas now.

Doing what I typically do, I started another trip down the rabbit hole. Once inventoried, what do I do with my ideas? I found a site called Seedspark, which assists entrepreneurs with their ideas. There was a quote by its founder, Chad Jenkins, I found inspiring: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”  So, I am now going to create my new future.

The final tie into this trio of thinking comes from the Amazon Prime series “House of David.”  In episode 4, Samuel is speaking to David: “God does not only see what you are, He sees what you will become.”
